Hello, dkoz, and WELCOME to KZrider! :cheer:

This illustration shows ohmmeter connections for measuring ohms (resistance) through an ignition coil's primary winding.

While measuring ohms, the coil should NOT be receiving any voltage.

Good Fortune! :)

Primary(small wires) side of the coils will read between 1.8 to 3.0 ohms(some earlier Kawasaki's had coils that measured up to 4 ohms or more).

Secondary(sparkplug wire ports)side of the coil will read between 10.4K to 15.6K ohms. These ports are wired together.

You can't check a coil properly with a multimeter. A failing coil will get arcing from the high voltage side to low voltage side. You don't have the equipment to check for that. many bad coils only start "breaking down" when they get hot.

Thanks for the help....i was testing the right wire's! But batery was still connected..
Checked again meter was reading same way jumping from 0.06 to 16. Whatever.. too 1..or zero..
Meter must be fuzzed up..
That being said after a quick plug boot repair..plenty of pretty blue spark with plug in boot laying up against block.
Took bowels off and found filth setting in bottom of them..air bleed tubes cloged 8 out of 12 holes blocked .
Surprisingly pilot's wear cleen..
Thanks for the people who gave me thear time. This is a cool site will learn alot here i know.. :)
