Replaced Battery, Turn Signals Not Working

I just replaced my battery tonight. Went to fire up my bike. At first it tried to start and then cut out all of a sudden. Couldn't get it to turn over. Disconnected the battery, reconnected it and it started right up but the blinkers won't work. They won't even light. Any ideas? I checked the fuse box and all three fuses seemed fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If not already done, would verify integrity of the ground connection where the negative battery cable attaches to the rear of the engine.

This is 1000% correct....just happened to me and it sucked. I chased my tail around for quite a while......

Check batt post
Battery cable
Wire harness gound pigtail from negitive battery led and connections....this is where I had a problem.

It you check your turn signal wires for 12volt and you have 12volts there....you have a main ground fault. I was getting 12 volts to all my stuff but they wouldnt fuction....

Fuses "seemed fine"! What does that mean? Fuses are good- or fuses aren't good. Kind of like being pregnant... you are, or you aren't. "she didn't SEEM pregnant"!

Don't be ridiculous! It's only a flesh wound!

The cable looks solid from the post to the ground. Ground looks good, no rust. I have an update relay with LEDs on front, originals on back. The hazards on all for lights work just fine, but no blinkers at all. What do you mean by "wire harness ground pigtail"?

And can anybody tell me what the small black wire coming from the left side of the bike (just to the left of the fuse box) running over to the battery is for?

Your pic didn't make it. Give it another shot.

When I upgraded to LED bulbs I had to get a no load flasher unit. That unit had a little wire on it that wasn't on the OEM flasher. It needed to be connected to ground for the blinkers to blink. Maybe yours came loose?

No, it's not my relay ground either. That's well grounded and connected. Let me try the pic again

Okay, it's worse than I thought. My battery is not charging now. My head and tail lights still work, but they drain the battery... ugh. Any thoughts what might be causing this? Did I somehow blow my regulator? Something else?

Please add your bike's year & model to your signature line. Different KZ models have different charging systems. Ed
