What level of crank amps would I need to be on the very safe side?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I did have to use the packing foam it came with to fill in the battery box to get it to fit snug. I also had to make a restraining strap to keep the battery in place due it's small size. I am very happy with it though. it does not require a battery tender when I let the bike sit. It keeps it's charge for months. Last year the bike sat for 3 months and fired right up like a new battery. The only down side is the cost, about $150.00.
I have the anti gravity 12 cell for my yamaha vtwin which requires A LOT more cca to turn. Its a little bigger than my fist. I did the research on them and antigravity had better reviews than the others.

In series?? Do the cca's combine as well?
