Kz1000 Lithium Battery?
19 Mar 2013 13:59
Is there anyone out there using a lithium ion battery for a kz?
What level of crank amps would I need to be on the very safe side?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I am using the ballistic performance 8 cell battery. It puts out 210 amps and spins my modded 1135cc engine very quickly. It sure is small and whole lot lighter. I did have to use the packing foam it came with to fill in the battery box to get it to fit snug. I also had to make a restraining strap to keep the battery in place due it's small size. I am very happy with it though. it does not require a battery tender when I let the bike sit. It keeps it's charge for months. Last year the bike sat for 3 months and fired right up like a new battery. The only down side is the cost, about $150.00.

I just priced the Shorai Li batteries for my KZ 750 and they were $144 at Misha cycle place. They had best prices and free shipping.

I have the anti gravity 12 cell for my yamaha vtwin which requires A LOT more cca to turn. Its a little bigger than my fist. I did the research on them and antigravity had better reviews than the others.

I use an 8 cell lifePo battery on my 750 twin. Spins it over faster than a brand new lead acid battery did. On the ZX12 I use an 8 cell and a 4 cell so I can have 24 volt start.
