Adjustable Dyna help needed?
12 Mar 2013 10:55
Got my new Dyna electronic ignition in, the one with the adjustable timing and rev limiter.
Set the timing to 1
rev limiter to 9
has VM30's with 20 main jets
back fires on at low rpms? What should I check first?
It's a 1977 KZ1000

I've got that set-up (DDK2-1) on my KZ1100-A2 with mini-coils, and love it! The setting is #4 per instructions.

Huh, I thought it said to set it to #1. I'll read the instructions again and change the setting to #4. I'm sure I just read it wrong.

Daveo, I set it to #4 put in new plugs and it runs perfect. I'm not sure why I thought it should be set to #1. After reading the instructions again I saw it is supposed to be set on #4
