Looking for a gel battery
11 Mar 2013 23:59
I am thinking of using a gel battery in my current project. It would allow me to hide it in the tail section. What are some good brands? Anything to stay away from? What is the minimum amp I can get by with on a stock 1015 motor? Thanks

Re: Looking for a gel battery
12 Mar 2013 02:34 - 12 Mar 2013 02:36I believe the battery ratings for my 750 are about 15 A-Hr with maybe 200 - 300 cold crank Amps. I don't think lead acid gel cells save much size/weight compared to wet cell, but they can be laid on their side with no liquid loss.kzz1king wrote: I am thinking of using a gel battery in my current project. The new Li-Fe batteries (Shorai) really reduce size and weight.

Battery Plus Stores....
Xtreme model AGM Batteries.... Here in AZ heat, still lasted 4 years.
For direct fit into stock battery cage.
If building a performance build (increased compression, additional electronics, extreme heat/cold etc...), new cage, went with 20AH/330CCA X2-18L series battery. @ 330 cranking, hell this thing will start Plum's pace maker...
