Ign advance plate(s) was created by THR
Looking at ign advance plates and found there's one for canada (21148-1006) and one for USA (21148-1009). Does someone know the difference between the two? Difference advance curves?
These are from a 80 KZ1000 A3A.

Baffeled.

The advance probably has a slight different amount of advance and timing between the two due to EPA regulations. Just a guess, though. Either advancer should work - I doubt their differences are very substantial.

If you can see them, maybe one is adjustable and one is not. Look at the mounting holes. In the U.S. they are just holes, but maybe the Canadian ones have slots.

...just a guess

The part numbers he is giving are for the advance mechanism, not the points/ignition plates.
