How did you fit Dyna 3.0 ohm green coils to a KZ750-4? especially an Ltd-4?

I thought about relocating them, but nixxed the idea real quick like... the handlebars might not be the ideal solution either.
After asking the question I continued my search & found clutch's solution... w pics.... click!

The more I look at the way clutch did it, I think that might be the easiest thing to do.

It is pretty easy. Make 4 L brackets out of 3/4" x 1/8" aluminum stock. Attach the L brackets to the stock coil plate with the L facing down. Install the coils with the high tension leads facing down and back. The coils will be mounted on the top of the L brackets. Install on bike, the tank will fit with about 1/2" clearance.
I'll get you a pic of mine this evening.

If it were me, when installing the new ignition coils, I'd get some 1/4" I.D. spiral wrap, and where the ignition wires for the sparkplugs come out of the towers, wrap about 6" around the sparkplug wires as a chafing guard, so vibration won't wear through them.
Also, you should get some Glyptol(Glyptal?)and paint the exposed iron laminations for the ignition coils to eliminate any chance of rusting. When doing the primary wiring, overcoat the terminal screws with the clear RTV compound to reduce the chance of corrosion and vibration loosening.
Keep an eye on how close the mounting spacers come to the primary wiring terminals on the coils, some riders have replaced the metal spacers with Nylon ones to reduce the chance of an electrical short....

b-110, a pic would be super duper. But I think I've figured out how to do it & it's pretty much as you described & similar to the way clutch did it...
Mfolks, I saw the spiral wrap, but got some small diameter automotive flex conduit instead.

If the nuts you're going to use are not the self locking type that hold the ignition coils to the brackets, get some Blue Locktite #222 and put a drop on the bolt where the nut will go. It's a tool removable Locktite, and will prevent the fastener from vibrating off.
Most if not all the RED Locktites will need heat to loosen up(about 300 F or so).

Thanks. Not sure what B-110 used, but I got locking nuts. I ended up making two brackets (one for each coil) from 1-1/2" x 36 aluminum angle bar from the HomeDepot. Seems more solid that using 2 L brackets per side & I was able to tuck them up under the tank close to the frame. And they actually look pretty nifty.
