Kz1000 stator to later 750 rect/reg wiring help

I'm building a rigid kz bobber from a bare naked frame up. I started with an 82 750ltd and crammed a 78 kz1000 motor in. I have the rect/reg from the 82 and stator from the 78 1000. The stator has 5 wires, light blue, pink, yellow, dark blue and white/pink. The rect/reg has 6, 3 yellow, black, brown, and white/pink.

Is there a way I can wire up the charging system with what I have? The only other provission I have is a "sense" wire from my switched 12 volt. I've searched many posts and wiring diagrams and am only more confused.

The wiring diagram in KZr's FILEBASE shows only three wires from the stator.

If not already done, may help to compare the respective wiring diagrams.

Thank you, I've poured over countless wiring diagrams and all show 3 wires. The harness coming out of the stator cover has 5 wires going to a blue connector, colored as previously stated. I'm sure the pink/light blue/yellow can go to th three yellow on the rect/reg but I don't know what to do with the others. Was hoping someone knew what the wires were for so that can piece it together that way. There is none of the factory wiring on this bike FYI.

One wire goes to the Neutral switch under the sprocket cover, can't remember where the other one goes.

Yes you can use your 750 R/R.
Dark Blue is for the oil pressure light.
White/ red or Pink is for the Neutral light.
The other three will go to your Three yellow wires on the R/R. Yellow to Light blue/ Yellow to Yellow and Yellow to Pink.
Easy to check with your meter, as the two switches will go to ground when closed, and open when not allied. the stator wires should;d have .7 ohm resistance between pairs.
Also your Brown wire is the voltage sense wire for correct charging. It needs to go to a Switched battery source. So it gets turned OFF with your Key switch. But reads the same as the battery voltage. If it is less the battery will get overcharged.

Outstanding, thank you. I may need a new stator before too long as mine was .9 ohms across the yellows. Bummer

Probably OK. Try it, and see. Bet its either just your meter, or a bit of poor contact. When running, the 3 stator wires will put out 56 ACV when at 4K RPM. So that is also a good test to run. But once all hooked up, make sure your Brown wire is good, and then check the voltage across the battery at 4K R's and you should see 14. something up to 14.6 all good.
