Sources for new electric starters?

The STOCK starter on my '83 750 finally went kaput. I need a new one.

where do yuo guys generally have luck finding your starters for these old birds? I was told I could get them through Kawasaki, but without an offered warranty. I would prefer a warranty if possible, which is why I ask.

I'm looking for something to fit a 1983 KZ750 LTD K1.

Thanks guys!

I might suggest looking for a local motor shop, sometimes they can rebuild them for a fraction the cost of a replacement. As far as the warranty is concerned, good luck with that. They very well may be out there, but I wouldn't think to many folks are willing to warrent a starter going on a 30 some year old electrical system.

Also give z1enterprises a try, I prefer buying my oem stuff from bikebandit.com, just because it ships right to my door.

:)
Mine:
04 Honda rebel 250(wifes)
04 GSXR 750(bolt on galore)
98 CBR 600F3(filter, pipe, adjustable cam sprokets, dyno tune)
76 KZ900A (LTD gauge pods, crash bars, LTD(style)pipes, dyna coils and ignition, headwork and mild port cleanup by cavanaugh racing, K&N filter pods, heck I dunno.

I bookmarked this page a few years back www.nationsautoelectric.com/Kawasaki.html
I have no idea if they are good, bad, still in business or where they are located.
Might be of help
good luck
