Gauge Cluster
25 Sep 2012 00:23Any ideas of how to clean this thing up? I am removing rectangle headlight and going with a sleek 7 inch round. THis gauge cluster sticks out like a sore thumb!!! and it drives me nuts!

Rip that thing off and throw a fat tach on it. Then all you have to do is remember to check your fuel before your ride

I thought about the tach idea but what about mileage recording? How hard would it be to mount? I'm not a very good fabricator of brackets lol

If you want the mileage recorded order a new speedometer and a new tach. They make universal mounting brackets for these if your not up for the challenge. Just remember it's your bike build it the way you want it.

I have been looking at this Acewell 2853. How would I be able to get a wiring diagram from the gauge cluster so I can hook everything up correctly? Any experience with these products? I have used Dimecity before and was very happy.

Bumping to top. I am still very confused on what kind of tach I need. Mine is electrical. I have looked quite a few different ones, but keep seeing ones with only a few wires, and some with many. Could someone explain how to hook up a tachometer and what each wire does? Thanks

My KZ750L3 has murdered two of those gauge clusters. You wouldn't part with that one, would you?
