23 Sep 2012 02:06yep, they need a resistor, the LED's dont draw enough amps to make the flasher relay work.4TheKZ1000 wrote: LED flashing unit from these guys.....proplem solved.....

Adding resistors are a waste of power (& time). Use the units from

Re: making the LED turn signals flash??
24 Sep 2012 01:35Nope, it's s solid state flasher that doesn't rely on current to flash like a bimetallic thermal unit does.OldSchoolZ wrote:Im sure its not a magical box  Take it apart, bet theres a small resistor in there.BikeDude2002 wrote: Adding resistors are a waste of power (& time). I agree the resistors are just a waste of money and power, you can get solid state flashers everywhere these days, even Kragens and Auto Zone.

If anybody wants to build one, here is the circuit I am using on mine. It will work with either LED or standard bulbs.

Im in the process of wiring mine also. Have LED signals & relay but all signal wire was removed from my harness already.
Any of you guys have a good diagram or instructional I could use to wire them from scratch?
Thanks & sorry for the thread jack.
