Picked up this bike this week . Bought it with no spark and looking for some quick checks . Does that resistor go bad on top of the coils. I believe it's a non condesor and points ignition bike being a B4 model LTD. Thanks
last one I got like that i used a test light and traced the coil wires to the harness
the power wires go into a double bullet checked for voltage to the coils
then when I had voltage there I checked the other wires one at a time by turning the engine over and the test light will pulse
or you can just touch the power side lug of the coil with the test light grounded (yellow wire I believe)
changeged plugs and wires no spark had spare coils threw them on and varoom (both coils bad seemed odd but it fired) you never know what PO has done
