So I traded the original police seat for this today it's a Harley seat that was on a 79 KZ. I have to shave the rear brackets off the back but that should only take me an half hour or so once I get some time off. The starters working perfectly now, the batteries on the charger, and I'm wait to get a little extra cash before I order the plugs and wires. So just a few more days until I can fire it up. :woohoo:

Yea for some reason some people now-a-days don't like wiring it right the first time when they take everything off. But hey that's one reason we get these for so cheap lol

Ok so just a quick update for everyone, new spark plugs, wires, turn signals and oil filter are on their way and they should be in sometime this week. I just got the grinder so now it's time to start shaving some brackets off to make the seat fir flush and once that's all done time for the fabrication. Once I get her fired up this week I'll post a video and more pics of the progress.

Just an update for everyone, I have gotten the bike running. :woohoo:
Also I welded on some different rear seat brackets since I will be using a two person seat instead of the solo seat.
My next steps are to get the pod filters, straight pipes, and all the lighting down pat.
and this is how she sits right now

Getting your bikes carbs to run decent with straight pipes and Pod's might be quite a challenge.
Don't pitch or hack up your stock airbox, you may wish to return to it.
You can try to run it with a Jet Kit to see if that gets it close. Dyno Jet makes a kit, but there are many other associated problems with running pod's.
Do a search here on KZR for Pods and be careful your computer doesn't melt down.

Would you have any recommendations for a loud deep exhaust, instead of straight pipes?? The bike is pretty much stock "motorwise" and the louder the better for me. I'd prefer to do pods if I can but maybe there's some other ideas than stock air box/pods??

Just some updates for everyone. I got it all prepped and primed
Moving slowly but surely. I have a new float and float needle on my way now to fix the overflowing problem and also fabbed up and new air cleaner assembly that runs off the left side of the bike.
