Can I Just Take the Main Switch Out of the Loop?

I'm not worried about anyone stealing my bike. I'm pretty sure my main switch is causing an ongoing tail light fuse issue. I'd like to just use that switch as a seat lock and that's all. Ideas? Thanks.

What are you going to use in it's place? Toggle switches? If it were me, I'd be getting a replacement main switch, that way you're not splicing wires & trying to figure out how to mount the replacement switches.

I was hoping to be able to just hotwire it so the switch is always in the run position. so when I turn the key the bike lights up, circumventing the kill feature of the main switch.

bottom line is first my tail light fuse started blowing, so I hotwired the tail light to the battery for night driving and now my cluster lights (speedo, tach...) don't work and now my radiator fan doesn't want to come on. awesome!
