Ignition Switch Replacement was created by Spitfire151
I've decided I'd like to relocate my ignition switch for my 1981 kz440b2 and in looking over the internet, I can only seem to find switch with three posts for wiring... or replacement mini switches that are only listed as fitting Hondas of the same era. I want to do away with the fork lock and the amount that the stem of the switch shows above my triple tree.
Ideas?

Gotcha, but how did you wire it up?

I used this cheapo one from ebay on a panel inside my tank facing me.
Universal Keyed Ignition
I had first just used a racing toggle switch. It's very easy just strip wires & touch them until you find a combination that works or buy one that comes with a wiring diagram.

I run a very minimalist system and basically made my own wire harness with just a lighting circuit and a ignition circuit. I don't have any turn signals, horn or anything else so I really can't tell you how it would wire into your system not to mention it was 4 years ago so I really don't remember how I did it.

Ohhh okay, well looks like I've got my work cut out for me, unless
this thing
matches up perfectly that is.
