wiring

hey I just bought my first bike! its a 81 kz250. There was a problem with the wiring and Ive done what i can but the battery wont recharge and Ive found 3 wires that have been chewed by a dog and not sure where they go. One is red and white and leaves the regulator and one that is a bigger gauge that is red and white that goes to a fuse and on the other side of the same fuse is a white wire that is cut. anyone have a 81 250 wiring diagram or anything thta can help??? I also have next to no mechanical skills but have been learning alot thanks to this site and playing around with the bike!! please help I really want to go riding!!!!!!!! thanks :blush:

Here's the KZ250 (and KZ305) manual. You should be able to troubleshoot your electrics using it. Also, I believe the wiring diagram is on page 278. Ed
