Hey everyone!

Picked up a 77 kz650 for 160$!!!

They said it ran about a year ago (it was left outside), and I was wondering on some troubleshooting steps to get it to start. I hooked it up to a fresh battery and I don't get any lights or anything (ignition looks new as if it was replaced, the key looks new as well)

Tried to kick start with no luck. Also made sure gas was flowing through tube from the tank

Thoughts?

Thanks guys.

Would assure integrity of the ground connection where the negative battery cable attaches to rear of the engine.

I think selling it to me for 160.00 would be a great way to start it.

Flush the fuel system and carbs to have a chance of starting.
