This is fitted to my parts bike and I suspect it's a homemade rectifier

The voltage regulator is the original part. The plan is to fit these items to my runner since it's not chargin properly. Is there a way to test and adjust the voltage regulator without the bike running, BTW?

Yep, it's somebody's idea of a full wave rectifier, but I see not all of the terminals are being used in the two bridge assemblies. Maybe they wanted to split the load as finding the right size was hard to do.

My understanding is the 650's had quite a variation in charging systems; for single phase, three phase, and some with relay's controlling the charging system.

Go here to look at wiring diagrams: diagrams.kz650.info/index.php
