Dyna 3.0 ohm or 2.2 ohm to match the dwell was created by martin_csr
1981 KZ650-H1 CSR w stock electronic ignition.
What aftermarket coils can I use w the stock electronic ignition?
The only thing I want to swap out is the coils.
Direct bolt-on would be preferable.
I looked around Z1Enterprises.com & the KZ650.Info site but wasn't sure. Thanks.

The green Dyna 3 ohm coils should work okay with the stock electronic ignition (although the stock coils are slightly less than 3 ohm), and would also match a later installed Dyna-S.
The green Dyna coils are bolt on when fitted to Z1 and KZ900 (and likely other large Kaw fours), but am uncertain about ease of fitment on KZ650.

When installing the Dyna coils, the Dyna folks recommend mounting the coil with the spark plug wires routed up and forward away from the coil, and then looped down and back to the respective spark plugs.
For whatever reasons, some few installers elect to mount Dyna coils in the opposite direction with the plug wires routed down and toward the back.
Good Fortune!

PS: I forgot to add that coils that will work w a Dyna-S or something for future change to aftermarket ignition system would be good, in case my igniter gets fried or something.

3 ohm coils should work, but the gray 2.2 ohm coils are a better match for the dwell on the stock system.
