Using kz440 wiring of kz550 was created by sudohalt
Hello I have a kz550 that needs a new wiring harness, because all the electric components do not work (other than the speedometer and tachometer). I was thinking of buying the wiring off of a kz440 1981 ltd. Would it work on my kz550 1981 ltd.

Thanks

Quick answer is no. Your best bet is to locate a wiring harness from a 550 on ebay or from someone here.

You have two choices;
1. A used, questionable wiring harness from a salvage yard:

www.bornagainbikes.net/
www.motolane.com/

2. Having a new harness made by these people:

General Dynamics/Convair 1983-1993
GLCM BGM-109 Tomahawk, AGM-129A Advanced Cruise Missile (ACM)
