Car tach adapter for 550ltdKeith

This is the adapter I made for my Sunpro minitach. The adapter has been working for 15 years or so. I've been through 2 or 3 tachs in that time. The tachs come apart internally from vibration since they were not meant to go on a motorcycle. The last one I got, I took apart and reinforced the insides with hot glue. That one has lasted 12 years or so, so far.



Pay close attention to the stripes on the diodes. The stripes go near the side connected to the ignition coils. If they go in the wrong direction, I don't think the bike will run.
