Brake light indicator
05 Jun 2006 22:28
Once again, as I tie into my new old KZ650, I'm discovering things that I have not the knowledge for.
Upon replacing all the bulbs under the indicators, I noticed that the brake light never comes on; neither with the front or rear brake initiated.
When looking at things further, I noticed that there's no wires going to either the front or rear brake. Where does the brake indicator tie into the electrical system to pop the light on? I figure my problem is going to lie somethere around there.

The rear brake pedal should have a light weight spring attached that actuates a switch mounted on the frame. Front brake should have a switch mounted in the brake lever, or sometimes in a hose splitter block up on the trees, I'm not familiar with 650's...
