"push to cancel" signal controls

Has anyone upgraded their controls for this purpose? I dislike the slide switch and always overshoot the other way. The stab and forget method from newer bikes is a lot less distracting. I'm going to attempt it but wondering who has gone before me.

I didn't know there was such a thing. Sounds expensive.
