80 kz 1000 stator question was created by Powerstroke_fan
I ordered a new stator off line and went to install it today. Got it all apart and went to put the new stator in and guess what its the wrong stator. The question i have is there anyway that someone could have put a diffrent stator and rotor on the bike? it looks like all the other 80 kz1000 b4 ltd i looked at online. But the new stator is too big and the holes dont line out.and the wires are to short. I double triple checked to make sure it was the right part number even compared it to oem part number and by the box its right. So i called them and the guy i talked to said the guy that normally does the stator problems is out till monday. but he told me that its the right stator. So looks like my bike will be down another week. From what i looked at online is there only two diffrent stators for the kz 1000s? Just want to make sure iam right before i accuse them of sending me the wrong stator.

Ya it is. Thanks for the though tho patton. I think they just packaged the stator wrong. The outter dia is to big and the center hole dia is big and the holes dont line up there close but not close enonough and the wires is to short. I might have to end up just returning it and getting my money back and buy a oem one. The one i got now is a high output stator. Its one that is reccommened on this site quite a bit, but iam not gonna say who
