Charging issue affirmation needed was created by ddeaton66
I have checked the charging system per the manual and have found that the stator resistances are good, and the ac voltages are within limits at idle and @ speed. The rectifier voltages are normal on the main and about 1 volt low on the voltage input for regulator control. Symptom is this: at start charging is low (12.5-12.75) volts. As the bike warms up the charging increases on upwards. The warmer it gets the higher the charge rate until it reaches about 14v and it stops charging completely. After you let it completely cool this cycle will start over again. I'm thinking rectifier...but would like to know if there is a way to confirm it better.

TIA

www.electrosport.com sells,and maybe makes their own rectifier/regulators.

Two more websites to look at:
www.regulatorrectifier.com
and www.oregonmotorcycleparts.com
