The coil was only 6 months young too. Seriously though I installed my Dyna green 3 ohm coils last December. Things have been great and I've been riding my Z1 almost every day. Last couple of days though the engine started to misfire.

I inspected all the ignition connections first and couldn't sort it out there. Moved on the fuel tank, petcock, and cleaned the carbs. Still no luck. Finally scratched my head and decided to check coil resistance. BINGO! One of my brand new Dyna coils is reading 50,000+ ohms on the secondary resistance. This is taken directly off the coil after removing the wires.

Who would have thought? Anyhow, I called Dyna and they will warranty it with receipt (which I have) for up to 1 year from the purchase date.

I'm just glad I nailed the problem without too much trouble since being down means more $$$$ being spent driving the cages around.
