Wire Sets, Spark Plug Boot Angles Aftermarket Coil was created by twin_rotor
'83 1100A3, Accell coils.
What is everyone running for wires/wiresets on their sidepost coil plug wires? My last KZ550 had rear coil outputs and I used a set of leftover Taylor wires with 45 degree ends. Is there a specific plug boot angle for these engines with side terminal coils? I just don't want to ruin a set of $40 wires.
I've found stock NGK numbers(I think). Any luck getting these parts at an auto parts house? My wife happens to work at one

For consideration:
Dyna Plug Wires from Z1E
The Dyna plug wires are delivered with caps/boots already permanently attached.
Good Fortune!

I can't believe I missed those sets on Z1. There are two plug angles; one set is straight other is 135 degrees(which seems about rigt).
I'm trying to picture the wire patter as the Accel coils point straight out, unlike the slanted Dyna coils. The wires on it are 135 degree on 1 and 4, with short stright boots on 2 and 3. The coil ends are 90 degree. With the 135 degree height on the outside, the boot end is almost as high as the tank, leading to my rubbing problem now. Thats why I was kind of leaning towards a 45 degree short boot, like found on the 8mm Taylors..
Its hard to pass up the price on the Dyna wires. Half the price of most other aftermarket wires.
Were the original wires installed by Kawasaki sheilded or non on my '83? I assume shielded since it has electronic ignition.
I'd love to see some shots of installed ignition wires. Searh does not like me on tis site..lol

Those are the caps I found before and asked if anyone had tried to source at a auto parts house. The wife goes back to work today, so we'll see if the green shamrock stocks them
Thanks for the links!

Out of luck getting NGK parts local, so I think I'll try these and use a little wire managment to try and fit them with the accell coils:

Can't go wrong for $18.00. I'll post pics once installed. Thanks again for your help!
