Is it possible the HIGH/LOW filaments are reversed in the new bulb?1slowkayzee wrote: The aftermarket brake light works perfectly fine, but only when the ignition switch is in the park position. Even with the voltage deviation, the oem light is very bright when the ignition is in the normal position. Also, the voltage is low because my charging system doesn't work.

before you start replacing wires your stock light works fine but the new one doesn't?
if it is a standard bulb light obviously double check your wiring then take a piece of wire strip both ends like you are wiring a speaker ground one end to the engine and the other end to the light socket.
if it is an LED take that ground wire and attach it to the ground wire lead. see if you get any change.

If that link doesn't work. It's a Classic style round tail light by dcc bikes. No info is provided on the website except for that it is "universal" and SKU: 62-21512-GBPC.
I also don't think that I can disassemble it without damaging something, it's held together very tight. Will call them tomorrow if I can't troubleshoot this.
