KZ750 twin - pulsing coil issue was created by damarble
I was wondering if anybody knows how critical the alignment of the ignition parts is?

Back story: I just picked up a 82 KZ750 twin. Immaculate one owner bike, but it was t-boned at low speed last fall and put in storage. The damage is all very minimal overall, but the pulsing coil cover did break and the coil bracket was mangled, the advancer bolt was bent making the advancer wobble.

I replaced the bolt and straightened out the coil bracket as best I could. It would run after that but poorly (I think the carbs are gunked up from not being winterized, so that's contributing).

I would just replace it but I could only find one for a reasonable price and the seller wouldn't even guarantee it works, so if it's bad I'm out $50.

Any ideas?

Apparently it doesn't have to be 100% perfect, I got it running very well today.

Nice job! B)
Just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't work loose from vibration.

The funny thing was the spring clamp was a couple inches back on the line. Once I put it back over the barb it feels pretty secure.
