Help!!! Losing two cylinders! Can't figure out why was created by Kz650harvey
I just replaced both coils on my 1980 kz650f because it wasn't firing on two cylinders (#'s 1 and 2)and I thought the coils might be bad. Now that I have replaced them I'm dropping the other two cylinders ( #'s 3 and 4). What does this mean? How can I fix it?

Are you sure the plug wires are connected properly? One coil fires cylinders 1 & 4, the other fires 2 & 3.

I tried taking the wires from #'s 3 and 4 off to see if they were doing anything and it ran worse
. So they are firing a little. Could this be carburation?
