81 KZ1000 Headlamp was created by mopguy

I bought a headlamp for my 81 KZ1000 on e-bay this week,it is in beatiful condition, however it is missing the bulb. I looked at the make and never heard of this lamp before. It is apparently made in France and it is labeled Auteroche SAE M81 DOT. Does anyone know what type of bulb this headlamp takes,and where to buy one? Thanks.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Assuming it is the type with a removable bulb, I would take the lens to an auto or bike store and see if an H4 bulb fits it. Ed
