froggy Topic Author Offline User Posts: 42 Thank you received: 0	According to clymer need to remove carbs and tank in order to remove starter is this a fact or is there enough clearance to remove starter with out pulling off carbs??? on a 1988 kz1000p havent tried yet seeing if someone noes before i get out there;)

Mellvis Offline User Posts: 250 Thank you received: 3	I had a 1982 KZ1100 which is probably (I think) the same cases and carbs as the police bike. I was able to change the starter with the carbs and tank installed. If I remember correctly it was a tight squeeze, but i did it. Just go slow and easy.
