to clymer need to remove carbs and tank in order to remove

is this a fact or is there enough clearance to remove

havent tried yet seeing if someone noes before i get out there;)

I had a 1982 KZ1100 which is probably (I think) the same cases and carbs as the police bike. I was able to change the starter with the carbs and tank installed. If I remember correctly it was a tight squeeze, but i did it. Just go slow and easy.
