Tried www.redlinecycle.com ? They carry some harnesses for the older Kawasaki's and might be able to tell you where to get one for your bike.

Also here's another version: www.phatperformanceparts.com/Motogadget_...er_p/moto-m-unit.htm

Thanks MFolks, there goes another 2 hours of my day. The controller seems like a no brainer to me - even at $325. Seems like it would make self wiring a relative breeze. Does anyone have experience with these?

I have been reading about these, they really seem to be a great solution. Any thoughts, also, here it is for $300 moto-madness.com/catalog/index.php?main_...746&products_id=1285

For the motorcycle electricians, is this as good as it appears to be?

Like anything new for motorcycles, especially electrical/electronic, I'd prefer a "Wait and See" before buying one. I suppose E-Opinions might have a review or www.webbikeworld.com might too.

I have a connection, he brought up the conversation about a stock 1980 KZ1000 wiring harness.
I would have to hunt him down and see what it is. He was a dragracer that worked for FBG on Grand Island NY.
I was going to sell some of his stuff. But He has not called me since New Years Eve.
If your serious, I will track him down. Her does not give stuff away, he started with H2 stuff years ago.

I saw bootstables, I have been following his build, thanks z1kzonly, but I think I am going to get the m unit and start over. I searched and searched last night, I could not find a bad word about these. Many guys who are novice electricians had the same concern I do, but siad it worked great.

I think this weekend the wires hit the floor!

I just rebuilt my 81 KZ550, and could not for the life of me find a suitable replacement wiring harness. I then found this kit from Centech. I was easy to install, and works GREAT!!!

I did read several good things about these harness' too. For me, I am going to spend the extra $100 plus wire and go with the M Unit.
