kz750 ltd 1981 - key problem. was created by steelhorseangel
hi kzr's

my name is Angel, my kzr user name
is 'steelhorseangel' comes from
a bon jovi song lyric 'steel horse i ride'
(tune: dead or alive)

my usa project bike is virtually finished, just
need some tweaks. i live in the uk
and i can't find any key blanks, to copy
my only key.

does anyone know of where i can purchase
some key blanks please. if my soft!...
key breaks!.... i don't have another one.
i've tried a few key cutting shops in the uk
and they examine my key, like it was a piece
of moon metal. a puzzled look comes
on their face and they no i can't copy that
key, i've no blanks!

many thanks for any information!

regards

For the price of the blank listed above, I will cut the key for you plus mailing costs, whatever a standard letter is to the UK from Canada.

I just need the key code #.

Hi Angel.Yes I live in Staffordshire. There are a few kzs around here including a beautiful 750(saw about 2 weeks ago)and a fully restored 1300,and an immaculate 550.And mine,in bits at the mo
The key guy is spot on if you're thinking of using him,he does car and bike keys and with your machine being American to start with you'll have no problem.
Yell if you need anything! :)

The keys are $6.50 CDN, cut on an Ilco blank.
I did a quick search for cost to mail a regular letter to the UK, and came up with $1.65 CDN. Sometimes having keys in a regular envelope adds to the cost but not much.

Using a currency converter, I estimate it to come to 13~15 British pounds for 3 and postage.

Thanks Martin for that picture showing the key code locations. Saved that.
