Oil pressure or neutral switch. You'll have to clean it a little to determine the color.

Blue/red or green/orange. But it's probably tarnished brown/yellow from oil and heat.

Oil pressure switch should be up behind the cylinders. Only thing I can think of is the neutral switch. Do you get a neutral light? Have you tried grounding it to see if a light comes on? Neutral switch is Lt Blue/Red. Go to Filebase up in the right hand corner of this page and find your year and model and click on the wiring diagram.
If it turns out be a brown wire then it is most likely a ground wire for something, I don't know what though.

If the oil pressure switch is behind the cylinders, then it only leaves neutral, as Diamond said.

According to the diagram in the filebase, neutral is light green/orange, at least that's what the colors appear to be in the PDF, (which is pretty clear).

Brown is usually switched positive. I can't imagine any reason for a switched positive down there. Usually I find most of the wires down there have a brown grimey look to them.

If it's the neutral wire, then it isn't switched hot.

The neutral wire will appear to behave like a switched hot wire, but it is actually the ground side of the light bulb. Since the ground is lifted, it will appear like a hot wire, but will not provide current like a normal hot wire.

Now that I look closer at the diagram, the neutral wire looks like it may actually be light green with red stripe, instead of orange stripe.

If the wire is truly a switched hot wire, I can't imagine what it would be for.

Here is the wiring diagram, by the way.
