What are you adding? Oil slick? Machine guns? Ejector seat? NEON?

My, head automatically produces an oil slick and my ejector seat button is the on the right handgrip you just pull in clutch twist and release clutch

my GPZ has the starter button in the left side cover PO did that.

I just havent seen any aftermarket switches on a stock style bike that didnt stick out like a soar thumb.

wireless remote switches are the ticket if your mounting 1 auxillary setup. the multi channel comes with a huge remote (not very convenient)

If i feel the need to put macine guns on i will use the spot where the brake warning light flashes nonstop due to my wiring up aftermarket lights

Yeah I thought about taking out the brake indicator and putting it there.

I've decided to put them in a plastic project box and mount that between the handle bar mounts. It'll probably stick out like a sore thumb but it'll also be real easy to remove later if I need to.

Why didn't I think of machine guns??! No nothing cool like that just some heated grips and auxiliary lights.

Here's my working plan. I found a small plastic project box that will fit just between the handlebar mounts and sit just above the steering stem. I'm securing the box to the bars with some 7/8" line clamps.

I've secured the nuts to the bottom of the project box with some JB weld to keep them in place during installation and removal.

There's room for a second switch later. I plan to add some driving/fog lights for better visibility at night.

Those look sweet but did you look at the price? $105 per switch is a little out of reach for me.

If this works out I may switch the plastic project box with an aluminum one that looks better and is a little more durable.

Here it is in place. It isn't exactly subtle but it gets the job done. There's room for a second switch if I want to add aux lights at some point.

This was the smallest project box my local radio shack had. I think if I can find something the same length but about half as wide it'd be perfect and a little less obtrusive. Maybe even in aluminum.

For now, this works and I've got nice warm grips!

It looks good, and the rubber cable clamps offer some vibration protection.

Ahh... the sincerest form of flattery!

I do wish I had a slightly smaller aluminum box. But the plastic isn't bad at all.
