you've inadvertently moved a wire in that part of the harness that is causing a connection problem, try wiggling it again to see if it will right itself, THEN get a tester and a wiring diagram and go to work finding which wire it is, could be a loose ground

+1 i swear everytime I open my headlight bucket I have 20 minutes of finding a different wire that decided it was its turn to come unconnected

My money is on ground... or a grounded out blinker itself. If your relay is clicking then you are getting 12v to the input side, and I would suspect that its passing it on to the blinkers themselves. Do you have a voltmeter?

The new lights are single filament, the original front lights are dual filament. Maybe that's the source of the problem. Ed

Yeah, and they are tiny bulbs that may not draw enough current to make the stock flasher blink,

The headlight issue is separate and is probably caused by a disconnected wire. I also think that these old Kawas had an automatic switch relay that would put on high beam if the low beam filament blew.

The dual/single filament should not be an issue - unless you've hooked your new indicators to where the running light should be plugged in? But then they should both light constantly with the turnsignals turned off.

My guess is that the rears are probably lacking ground and that the fronts are hooked up correctly. With only one indicator drawing current, the flasher relay will be confused. Try an extra wire between a known good ground and the flasher housing and see if things now work properly. If yes, you need to fix a permanent ground to each of the rear indicators.

couple more questions.
my front turn signals were single fitment. they only had two wires. not 3. same with the rear but the rears looks like some one must have rewired the turn signals. but worked before i took things apart. lol
also another question. i havent had the bike for to long so i cant remember.
but when i turn the bike on do the front signals come on also as running lights or do they only come on when turning?

also on my front turn signals if i can remember right there is a gray wire (same as the rear) and a black and white wire

Per wiring diagram in FILEBASE, stock bike had blinker-only single filament rear signal lights (grey wire) and combo blinker/running front dual filament signal lights (grey wire to blinker, and blue wire to running).

I'm gunna try to mess with it next week. My bike is at a friends house since I live in an apartment complex. I know the manual says the front are dual fitment but when I took the front turn signals off and apart there were only two wires running into the light bulb. A gray wire and like a black and white I think the color was. I know it had two colors but I'm positive it didn't have 3 wires so I'm confused. Also any body know where I can get an electronic blinker relay?
