Clock Wiring (Acewell) was created by 750steve

I have a couple of questions to those who can answer me about wiring my clock/instrumentation in when the time comes. I have attached a .pdf wiring diagram.

When wiring the headlight etc do i just take a feed off the appropriate wire so that the correct light illuminates on the guage? ie, run 2 main beam wires (from the swutch to the light & 1 to the guage?)

When connecting the oil pressure & neutral switch do i just wire it to the correct wire in the clock without power so that when either is activated the clock's power will illuminate the appropriate light.

The above is what i think but please point out if this is incorrect.

Thanks for any pointers you can give me.

Sorry, THIS is about as good as i can do. A direct link to the diagram.

Which wires are you having problems with?

Hypothetically none of them, i'm just sorting the wiring in my head, like i kinda do. I like to get things straight in there before doing it.

Am i right in saying that for the, say main beam, i take a feed off the wire that powers the main beam & run it to the correct wire on the guage?

And the neutral wire from the gearbox just runs to the correct wire on the guage so that when the circuit is complete (when neutral is selected) the guage power switches on the neutral light?

Also, just when i see that diagram, what is the difference between the clock power & the switch key power wire?, is the clock power wire a constant live & the switch key comes from the ignition switch?

Yes to this one, power and ground/ earth full time, not switched.

And the neutral wire from the gearbox just runs to the correct wire on the guage so that when the circuit is complete (when neutral is selected) the guage power switches on the neutral light?
Again YES this will be switched when the Shifter is moved to the Neutral position, creating a ground/ earth for the Indicator light.

Am i right in saying that for the, say main beam, i take a feed off the wire that powers the main beam & run it to the correct wire on the guage?
Now this one, do you mean the High Beam Indicator light? The Light Green Wire to the Acewell unit?
If so I believe the switch they have in their diagram is showing the Handlebar switch on the bike. So this would hook to the High beam Positive wire, so its hot 12v when head light is on high beam.

For increased RPM measuring accuracy....

The Acewell units have 2 methods of rpm sensing/monitoring.

Terminate (connect) the provided yellow conductor to the CDI output / #1/4 coil input terminal (not wrapped around sparky conductor), increased rpm accuracy that way.... ;)

When you get to programming the unit, I found SPC- X.X =(1) to be the correct option.
Means number of rotations per signal. Yours may be different due to CDI module. With a tuned KZ, you pretty much know you'll be around 1K rpm where the other options will be way off that mark.

For speedo/wheel circumference, string around outer tire where pickup will be mounted.
Measure length and convert to mm. Just in case, 1 inch = 25.4 millimeters

The measurements will place you in the ball park but for tight accuracy, while driving with a riding bud, have them hold at 50-60mph then adjust on the fly... ;)

Thank you again. I got some sensor thingy with mine that i screw into the speedo cable hole at the wheel & it then operates wirelessly, dunno how thats gonna work as yet.
