Hi friends
17 May 2006 19:07
Im installing 3 ohm ACCEL coils/8.5 mm plug wires along with dyna s's in the points box on my 1974 Z1 900. The old dyna 3 ohm coils came off and were bolted thru the holes in the bars running thru the coils. was this considered a grounded mount? The ACCELs are a little longer so the bars the dynas were bolted to are coming off and will use mounting bars that came with the new ACCEL kit. Anyway was it correct to bolt these kinda coils thru the holes on each end this way? Thanks for your comments

Yes that's the correct way to mount them.

Electrically, the core of the coil doesn't need to be grounded.
