Headlight! was created by ed spangler
The headlight on my 1975 Z1-B is not very bright. I have checked Battery, charging system, connectors etc. etc. Bike starts and runs good, Simple question....will an aftermarket Halogen bulb fit my bike? I am hearing from lots of people this is a very common problem and that a Wagner H6024 will fit the bike and cure the problem! Thoughts?
Anyone use a different bulb with success?

I've used a variety of different halogen lights over the past 34 years including an expensive Marchal H4, 100w offroad H4 bulbs, Sylvania sealed beam, etc. I found that Wagner provides excellent lighting, doesn't put an excessive load on the electrical system, is very affordable, and is robust enough to outlast the others I have tried. I even bought a spare to keep in my parts box in case Wagner ever stops making them. Below is a link so you can see pricing. Ed

not sure about yours, but when my headlight was dim it ended up being a blown out bulb.

Hello Patton,
match suggesstion gave me an idea....
Well.............or double check the wiring again to make sure the lead for the high beam isn't connected to the ground!! :silly:
Not that that could happen?? SIGH!!
Sigh!!
Bulb is brighter now. :woohoo: ..... but may still go with a Halogen!
