How fast did you say?

It has the electronic speedometer which registers speed to 85mph...Once over 85mph, is there a simple way to determine how fast my bike is moving me?

I'd like to argue that I was only going 130, when the officer says it was 150.

You can use your tach to estimate your speed. For example; if at 60mph in top gear your engine is turning 4500rpm then at 9000rpm in top gear you're going 120mph (unless your clutch is slipping in which case you may be going 25mph  ) Ed

They have a speedometer app for the iphone. It's free and as compared to my truck it seems fairly accurate.

Would consider sticking with the 85mph speedo, because no matter how fast you were going when pulled, it's always possible to say you're dyslexic and thought you were going 58mph.

I have had my tach at 7500 in 5th gear when at 3500 I am at 60 give or take a couple miles per hour. My speedo reads slower than what I am going by about 5mph according to the gps. Anyways I think I was around 130mph it felt like 200. The wind took the side cover right off the bike. I found it the next day.
