Weak spark on 1,4 - none on 2,3 was created by KZ900A4
Changed points and condensers on my 76 kz900, must have bumped when tightening down, both sides were sparking; readjusted. Checked the timing: 1,4 were fine, 2,3 wouldn't activate the light. Checked the spark against the engine, 1,4 week, nothing on 2,3. No spark when opening the points manually on 2,3. Coils, plugs, plug wires are new. any ideas?

Would assure battery voltage is being received at 2/3 coil primary terminal.
And would assure that connection at primary terminal is not shorting against the coil mounting spacer.
Dyna coil, for instance, has a screw that attaches the wires to the primary terminals. The head of such screw is sometimes perilously near the spacer.
Wouldn't be guided by "spark" at points.
The critical factor is that the signal wire be grounded and ungrounded when the contacts are apart and closed.
May be checked with the ignition switch OFF and no voltage being furnished to the coil.
An ohmmeter or test light may be used to assure conductivity to ground through the points when closed, and non-conductivity to ground through the points when the points are open.
With engine running, the coil is supposed to "charge" while the points are closed (grounded), and "discharge/fire" when the points open (ungrounded).
"Firing" is through the secondary loop which includes both spark plugs associated with the coil.
Good Fortune!

When the points are open, there should be no connectivity between the spring and engine case (ground).
When the points are closed, there should be connectivity between the spring and engine case (ground).
Where there is connectivity when the points are open, it may be due to improper assembly of the area where the small insulator washers are located.
Good Fortune!
