I've got a habit from doing wiring assembly over the years, of after I've completed a wiring crimp of terminals or splices, to give each one a tug or pull test to verify the integrity of the mechanical and electrical connection just finished. This method will prevent most future troubleshooting from the beginning.

I've seen far too many pictures of the wrong size terminals being used for the wire sizes.

I'll repeate here the wire sizes and colors of the insulation on the splices and teminals:

Terminal Insulation Color Wire Sizes
RED 22-18 gauge wire
BLUE 16-14 gauge wire
YELLOW 12-10 gauge wire

The ring terminal holes comes in many sizes, from #4 up to 1/2" in most cases, it's a matter of finding the tightest fitting hole to fit the fasterner for the termination.

American Wire Gauge(AWG) is backwards to what many people think; that is 22 gauge is many times smaller than 10 gauge even though the number is bigger.
