Can anyone identify this mystery object?

It came with the Z1R..but was not on the bike.

The previous owner thinks it might be the horn.;)

Flux capacitor?

In seriousness, I don't recognize it, but I don't have a Z1R. I am however, accepting donations.

Looks like some sort of buzzer. I believe that the early Z1's had a turn signal buzzer that was later removed. Maybe they brought it back on the Z1R? Seems too small to be a proper horn. Have you tried hooking it up to 12V briefly to see what happens? Sure looks like a Kawasaki electrical connecter.

It is a turn signal buzzer - most people pull them off the Z1's and KZ's as they have an 'electronic bleating' sound when on...

Jeff, I’m surprised you got this one wrong. It’s actually a speed wobble sensor / defibrillator. You plug it into the wiring harness and tape it to your chest and when it senses a speed wobble above 100 mph it restarts your heart. :woohoo:
