Rectifier issue on KZ900B was created by readtaintor
Forum Members,
I have a '76 KZ900B that occasionally blows the 20A main fuse. Using an ohmmeter it appears that the rectifier's 2 of 4 diodes are shot. Are any of you aware of a generic/less expensive replacement or is it possible to replace the 2 diodes? Any advice would much be appreciated!

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationNo eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThere should have been 6 diodes, if I recall correctly.
As Mfolks says, oregonmotorcycleparts is your best bet due to the warranty and price.
However, you can make one pretty cheaply if you need it today:
home.comcast.net/~loudgpz/GPZweb/RegRec/...3phaseRectifier.html
But there is a new option as well, that some have used with success. They take a long time to get, and I'm sure there isn't much of a warranty.
I just spotted this one too:

I replaced my OE rectifier with an electronic rec/reg. You can have the old rectifier for postage cost if you want it. It's out of a '78 KZ1000 LTD.
