Kz750b3 starter sad face!

In the process of restoring/customizing my baby (side note: talked to the guy they runs Oregonmotorcyclecycleparts.com today and he is awesome check it out!) anyway tried to start my bike and all I hear is the starter motor spin! Doesn't engage the engine!! Help please!! Do I need a new starter or just a part (i.e sprocket?)

Thanks I didn't think is was totally ruined. Do you anyway to check those mechanisms? And is powersedge a legit site? Thinking of buying some parts from them.
