Hey all,
My wife is looking to do some minor alterations to her 1976 KZ400 and number one on her list is modifying the big, goofy turn signals (her words). I was wondering if someone knew off hand before I attack the bike with a wrench if the 4" stalks can be removed, essentially shortening the signals so that they're flush with the hole on the frame and headlight bracket, or if they need to be replaced all together. I'm looking at the signals on the bike itself, and I can't tell if the stalks just screw out as an extension or what. If not, any advice for some cheap, comparable signals? Will CB or other Japanese parts from the era fit? Thanks in advance for the feedback...

Some of the Kawasaki's have/had an unusual mounting hole, it resembled a triangular opening with some rounded corners. The signals were rubber mounted for vibration dampening.
