So some one really messed up the wiring on this bike. Before I spend 200 bucks on a new harness I would like to wire the bike with a chopper harness to get it running properly. If anyone has done this before or has a diagram. Intstructions would be awesome. Any help would be appreciated.

Take your cursor to the top right corner of the page. Look for "Filebase", it has many wiring diagrams of bikes. If no luck, find a forum member "Loudhvx" and see if he has some diagrams.

All you need to make the engine run is a 12V line to the positive side of the coil and the negative side of the coil goes to the points. To make it street legal, all you need is a headlight, brake light and turn signals. You will need to connect the output lines from the alternator field windings to the voltage regulator assembly and hook the output of the regulator to the battery.
