ignition off, rear light still on...

i was cleaning my electrical connections today, and when i was finished i turned the bike on to see if everything was in working order and sure enough, my turn signals dont work anymore, and when i turned the key and removed it the rear light stayed on.... is it possible that the signals is a fuse issue? My fuses all look fine, but i assumed because none of the signal lights inluding the indicators work. Also, what could be happening that even when the key is removed from the bike that the rear light would stay on?

Don't know about the signals, but KZ's (and many other bikes) have two off positions. One to the right and one to the left. The one to the right leaves the tail light on as a parking light (required in some areas if you park on the street).
