Where are there wires supposed to go (uh-oh!)?

As mentioned in a thread I created in another section, just picked up this bike.

There are a few wires that are not connected up. I followed the wiring diagram in the manual, but I couldn't quite figure it out.

Picture number one: On the rear fender, in front of the taillamp. Wire colors are Green, Black/White or Black/Yellow, and Grey.

Picture number two. These are right beside the battery on the negative terminal side. Colors are Yellow/Black and White/Blue.

If I am not mistaken these wires in the first pic are for the turn signals. Are your signals on the bike? The black/yellow is the ground that is why it has a double pin connection, one for each signal. I am not sure which of the others is left or right +. check with a test light or meter. Someone correct me if i am wrong.

Probably missing rear turn signals. I think they are supposed to be mounted behind the rear shock/spring assembly's. If that is the case, yes mine are missing.

My taillamp housing is in poor shape as well (I'm sure that the Texas sticker that is on it probably indicates that it has seen some sun in its earlier life). I'll probably just pick up a taillamp/turn signal housing combo.

EDIT: You were absolutely correct. Tested with my DMM right quick, and it verified that they are the turn signal wires for the rear.

Some bikes have provisions for heated vests and grips. Trace back and see if there is a fuse(s) holder these wires go to. The Black wire with the yellow stripe is part of the ground circuit.

The 2nd pic could be an accessory lead. If you look at a wiring diagram for the bike it should show the - and + accessory leads.. and if you can find them you might be able to trace it back.

You got it, the wiring diagram shows two sets of accessory leads yellow/black (-) & white/black (+), and yellow/black (-) & white/blue (+). These are both un-switched on separate 10 amp fuses.

edit: should be black/yellow on the negative leads
